Bud Vases
« on: July 13, 2015, 03:45:54 PM »
Bud vases weed pots whatever you like to call them.
My wife Sue ( The long suffering one) has been moaning at me for ages about making some bud vases so just to shut her up for five minutes I made some this morning.
These took me four and a half hours quite easy when you get in the swing of it.
All finished with friction polish and buffed of the lathe.
C&C as always

Regards George

George,

I'm sure Sue will appreciate them, especially then you buy her some (dried) flowers to put in them.

:) :) and early walked the dogs already  :) :) with my sensible head on now, these are very nice, my preference are the more rounded ones but then I understand when you make a vase it needs to have proper stability especially to hold tall grasses. Good work especially for 4 1/2 hours.

Thank you Ed I am pleased you like them.

These would go well in your shop les easy to make and with a bit of dried grass look good.

I agree mark I like the round ones best but I have tried to add variety and the higher ones become unstable without o slightly wider base.

Thank you all for your comments they are very much appreciated.

Regards George
