A great looking bowl Jason

In my humble opinion, the best you have put up on this site, so far.

All the better for you I would imagine as it was from a tree you harvested, rather than a bought in blank.  The quality of the timber and your turning skills really show in this piece.

Thanks for showing

Kind regards

David

I think this ticks every box I have (except one), it is well turned, has marvelous grain, holes, bark and a glow about it, the one box missing, colour, but this one does not need it.

Jason, I really like this.

Very nice indeed. I like cherry especially as it gets older and darkens a little which if this does will enhance it even more

One very nice piece of Cherry. Jason

We all, often read figures into grain patterns, here is no exception and the title adds the question ... there's a very loose impression of a female form, much after Toulouse Lautrec to the left, would go unnoticed if platter had been places differently.

I see a naked lady on the rh side looks like she has jumped a hurdle,

-- lovely bit of turning and must make it all the better knowing you soursed the timber yourself.
why do i feel the need to turn a block of wood into shavings?
