Abrasives for drum sander

I have a drum sander that takes 76mm wide abrasive rolls. I expect 75mm will do but the price various companies are charging is ridiculous. Axminster are quoting £84 a roll. Does anyone have a cheaper supplier?

Toolstation have various 115mm wide rolls in their catalogue. 10m lengths of the Norton branded abrasive are around £10.

THey also have 75mm wide sanding belts at around 50p each

I am currently working on the idea that a 4" roll of paper backed abrasive  would work out cheaper. Now whether it would work or not is another thing which I will try but if wound tight enough I think it should work.
