I think the plinth is a great way to display the bowl if not attached, so the bowl can be removed and admired and replaced if wanted.

Have to admit Les when I saw this one first I thought that you had placed the bowl on a brass ferrule so as to lift it to aid viewing. Lovely bowl though and a lovely piece of wood.  --  Julian
