Got to say I really like the 'slingshot'.  It's sleek, clean & simple whilst having dynamism and tension all at the same time.  The black ball adds purpose and focus and really works.  As to whether it is art or craft or whatever, I really don't care.  For me that's just a label and trying to give it a label demeans it as needing a label, which it clearly doesn't.
