As always exceedingly nice work. Regarding the cut out part, do you have a reason for cutting out a certain part of the bowl? is it just for aesethtics?or are you removing a blemish?

Hi John

Thank you.

The cut out, well now that is a long story, are you sure you want me to go rambling.  :) :) :)

There is a meaning for the cut outs and the sphere with the bases coming from meditation. For the very first in the series I did indeed use a bowl with a small crack so I could experiment without messing a decent one up. But these were perfectly good bowls before being cut up.

So not to remove a blemish but for a specific message within the piece.

Hi Mark,  I like this one because you showed us how it was done during a Demo Day with George a year or so ago at Burnham. Do hope you don't mind me posting the demo picture. Julian

And I still have that bowl here at home.

Mark, it's always interesting to see where an idea goes as it develops. The addition of the sphere gives this piece an appearance of motion about it, which in turn gives it that something 'More'.
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!
