 Oh George,
Once again you have a great piece of work I don't consider this colouring in the true sense of the word it is to me the spirit stain just enhances the grain.
                                   Regards John

Thank you John.
Yes it is nice that by using the spirit stain you do not lose the beauty of the grain.

George,

All I see is a sunrise, wonderful reds, golds and yellows blending together in a gentle harmony, one to admire.
Oh Lord, Lead me not into temptation…

...Oh who am I kidding, follow me, I know a shortcut!

Thank you Bryan to be honest I called it my Sunset bowl but I thought it sounded a bit soppy.

Just been watching U tube and seen Nick Agar's Sunset bowls so probably in the back of my mind that is were I got the name from Sorry Nick.Having said that I have never disguised the fact that in the beginng of my woodturning career I was very influenced by Nick's work and even now after about 12 years of turning I still can see signs of Nick's influence.
The one thing I have always done is credit other turners when I have used their work for inspiration.
