Thank you Steve I have quite a lot of this timber and it is too nice for bowls so I will probably turn it into Hollow forms.

Excellent hollow form George.
Good shape/proportion and finish which compliments the fantastic spalted beech.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?
