I had a nice surprise last week a parcel arrived from Axminster Tools a Christmas Gift for our club Burcot Woodturners of which I am Secretary

It was the "Tormec Bench Grinding Jig" what a very nice gesture who said the spirit of Christmas was dead Thank You Axminster. :) :) :)

Then I'll ask what went through my mind.

Will it be used as a raffle prize or something, or do you have a club workshop where it will live and be used?

Hi Bryan,
To answer your Query we do not have a workshop when we have demos or hands on evenings everything is brought to the Village hall we use then it is taken away after.
We do have a couple of sharpening systems already the "Woodcut" and the "Robert Sorby" set up on mdf boards then on a workmate or table
If we want to use this Tormek we will have to invest in the other fixings etc.and they are not cheap so it may be auctioned or raffled Committee decision.

                                               Regards John

'We' at Didcot & District Woodturners have now also received the same gift. Not sure whether to thank Axminster or Tormek.
