Questions on pyrography with pictures
« on: July 25, 2014, 02:05:11 AM »
Hello, I just finish "decorating" with a pyrographic pen a 12x5 inch hard maple bowl that was  intended to be an utilitarian, salad type of bowl. Thus the bowl will be washed etc. and I'm wandering if these treatments will affect the pirography details. Any experience?
Also I'm posting the photos of the two drawings for your criticism. Do you think, like I feel, that the drawings are too childish? You think I should not try to sell it in a coming fair?
Thanks.

I think they are well executed and look good.

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Sevilla,
I agree with the other comments, the drawings are fine and well proportioned.

Hi Sevilla

I've looked at these a few times today, and I have to agree with the other comments the pictures that you have drawn look fine and well suited to your bowls.

Sevilla, I'd consider you've done an excellent job with the drawings, can't fault the form neither.
