ELM Thingymebob
« on: March 13, 2014, 03:10:30 PM »

We were over in Malvern a couple of days ago visiting where this piece now lives. Although it was done some
time ago we thought it might be of interest.
Its turned from one piece of Elm measuring   55ins x 19ins
   comments welcome

It'd definitely a 'Thingymebob', a damn big on at that.

What was the vibration like for the lower turned area in the second photo?

Glad there was no warp in the board or I could see it acting as a propeller as it whizzed around on the VB.

Hello Diane & Tony, What a great piece it would sell for a fortune in New Zealand this is truly Art not a craft, Just one Question you mentioned this

was In Malvern Was it Diane and yourself that carried out the Art Work in the Bus Shelter??  Google Midlands Today for Pictures. ;D ;D ;D

                                                   Regards John

Bryan  I controlled the vibration with adj to speed even then there was a hell of a draft. The hardest part was holding it after
it had been routed and doing the other side leaving no trace of how it was held. Diane was stood with one hand on emergency stop
button and other hand on first aid kit

Thank you John much appreciated    Basil  and   Manuel  We Know Nuffing   ;D   ;D
