Thanks for posting pictures of your tools Eric, always interested to see the bits other turners make. I attach a picture of some of mine, have a look at the short hook tools, just pure indulgence on my part really.
 Incidentally, the round scraper was made from an old coal chisel by a blacksmith mate but it was never very satisfactory.

No Pete , no ground down files at all. I think the one you mean (the stepped one?) is an old mortice chisel from the "bumper"  type machine.
 There are a couple of old hand mortice chisels there and the point tool (which I don't particularly like) is made from silver steel.
 The two mini chisels are long masonry nails.

I`ve just spent an hour making and photographing another micro goblet,this one is a fraction over 7 mm tall,3 mm wide,stem 1/2 mm and captive ring 3 mm by 3/4 mm,this is getting addictive.
