  The Width is 8 inches    H 2.5 inches
  The cap   olives and  leaves are cast and turned pewter. Look out for the trees.

Now that's a shape you don't see too often; it's really attractive and a great way to use a smaller sized blank.

p.s. ... like the lid!

     It was a joy to turn, thought this shape showed off the wood nicely.
    
     MALCOLM     I cast the pewter lid and tried casting real olive leaves but could not get them dry enough, the pewter kept
     spitting, so ended up making a rubber mould of the leaves then casting them. The olives were turned from previously cast
     pewter rods. I use the same technique with the oak leaves and acorns.
