Looks like Leylandii to me,having turned loads of the stuff into vases and garden ornaments, brother inlaw gave me two grand scenic car loads of it with seats folded down,it does smell quite sweet when turning it,and as you`ve found with your beautiful piece you can get some great results from naff looking old rooty bits of wood, regards,

Eric.
welcome to my woodturning world

Didn't see you as being a biker .. small world, it's something I miss, grow up with it and had my own for a few year .. but as for getting back to it, and I have been looking, DR 350 - have to be classic .. it would be the same reason I quit ... safety, and given the madness on todays road.

Plus the first, I need power and time for the shop, which is likely if .. if the wife takes more charge of her business. Well back to it before I'm found slacking.

We should also return to Les's post ...  sorry ...   :-[ ..  Leylandii looks to have the vote .. Cheers Eric.

Cheers  David
