Hi and welcome Midge, what can I say of a first post and your work .. 3 pretty impressive pieces, you've mastered the forms, as you've nailed the walnut for form, depending on the size of the 1st maple, stunning as a weed/bud vase, the 3rd a challenging piece with the deep undercut and no doubt you'll go thinner with the wall with practise, you've brought out the best in the grain and an excellent finish with them too, you look to have got the hang of it all.

Well done and thank you for sharing.

David

Midge,

I must echo David, The work is excellent and finish is fantastic.

You are hiding under a bush if you've been dropping in on us but not posting work of this standard.

We must talk some good stuff if you've learnt this from just reading and not asking any questions.

However please - Ask away.
