First Bowl

First ever bowl ( or turned piece i have ever made) I know where i went wrong :) which is all part of the learning experience , and looking at the bowl i feel the walls are to thick

For a first attempt the finish is excellent!! Getting he right thickness will come through practice.

That is a mighty fine bowl one of the best first attempts I have ever seen well turned and finished well done you

good effort,you can have what thickness you like,some like very thin,others like chunky,its all a matter of personal taste,can`t see anything wrong with it especialy fir a first attemt,regards,

I fully agree with Woody and high praise to a first bowl.

A nice looking bit of beech, the only thing I can see is you've slightly scorched the rim with too much pressure, that could be handsanded back you you wanted.

Thanks , i didn't even see the scorched marks until you pointed them out, just gone and found the bowl and gone ahhhh i see you now, good tip Thanks :D

I very much agree a well turned bowl, till I read down the only thing I'd comment on was the sanding burn to the rim ..  it happens .. well done Mike
