This square winged box is 9 1/2"x 7 1/2"high and turned from spalted Sychamore on two axis. The wings were textured, burnt, wire brushed and verdigree wax rubbed in too simulate a flowing stream with a sphere floating down. c&c's welcome.

Gwilym,

I'll warrant that the air was whistling while you were turning the second axis part of this form.

You've rather found a cause with carving your finials (for want of a better description). Is it feathers? And the rest of the work that has gone into it, fantastic.

I can see the concept of the water, but the green is a not very water-like colour to me. Can the paste wax have colour added to it, to produce a more blue shade.
