Wood ID please
« on: September 22, 2019, 10:16:08 AM »
The wood on the stem lof this candlestick is one I acquired from a now deceased friend. No lable and totally unknown to me. No distinctive odour and it cuts well if a little brittle.  The colour in the image is pretty exact after buffing and polishing, slightly paler before. The colour streaks go right tnrough the wood as seen in the end grain.

I like to label the woods on things I sell and so I would like to be able to say what it is.
