large bowl turning lathe for sale
« on: August 06, 2019, 12:02:47 PM »
I am in the process of clearing space in my garage workshop and I really need to move this lathe out. I built it some time ago to complete a contract for large salad bowls before I bought my Wivamac. It is a direct drive set-up and is controlled by a Speedgenie motor and inverter package. It is in perfect working order and can be seen running. It is offered on a collection only basis as it is very heavy! If you need any more info just contact me but hopefully the attached ad will give you what you need.
just one last cut and it will be perf...oh boll.....!

Hi All
I really need to shift this lathe therefore I am offering this good piece of kit for £50. It would be a shame to scrap it and the Speed Genie motor and inverter package. I will leave this ad to run for another 2 weeks before the scrap man calls, so buy it now before it has gone to that great big workshop in the sky !!

Thanks Mike, I tried the phone and left a message. Now sitting in the car waiting to see whether I should drive east to Alan's or west to home!

Collected from Alan and loaded safely into the car (Just!) with a great deal of help from him and his wife, many thanks to you both.
Brought home and unloaded without difficulty. Just need to decide exactly how it will be used and where it will go!

250 miles and it didn't move at all, although there were a few alarming clanks every now and then!

As Woodspinner says, see the PDF link. The various bits are presently scattered all over my garage getting in the way of everything, until I decide where best to put it.
Not helped when a tree surgeon turned up today with some wood taking up what little space was left!
