who sells 2" roughing gouges???

as per title really, mine is wearing out so does anyone know where i can get a 2" roughing gouge?

i've looked at robert sorby, the tool post, crown tools, henry taylor, peter childs, axminster and yandles.

any help appreciated.

Google is your friend-amazon.com has a few. Also highland woodworking.com  sells TheBodger 2" roughing gouge-all 0f course in Trumpton.  Couldn't find any in UK.

Ashley Iles do a 2" SRG but at the moment their website is showing as Out of Stock and further down the page it does say Discontinued.

Knowing Ashley Iles, I would suggest giving them a call as they are the sort of company who will produce a tool if there is a demand.

I notice Bernuk1 suggested the Bodger from the USA. Unfortunately, their tools are like the budget range from Axminster - cheap and cheerful but don't hold an edge. That's not the sort of thing you want, especially on an SRG as they take a bit more 'hammer' than other tools.

i've only bought used ones off of ebay before so they don't last too long.

I've also got one, which came from a private sale of used tools (in a bundle). I am unlikely to use it, and I think it may not be HSS, but happy to offer it. Looks very similar to the one from Tony.

Ashley iles used to do one, that's where I got mine, if they still do it, was ten yrs ago, give them a bell and see.

the one I have is like the top pic that Tony and Di put up,their second pic look like pole lathe tools to me,the pole lathe SRG is a lot shallower than an electric lathes SRG,as with theother tool,can`t see if its a scraper or a skew,but looks wide enough to be a pole lathe tool,what`s your thoughts Tony and Di ?.

     Hi Eric the one on the right is a wide flat scraper and the one on the left is a continental roughing gouge ,although never
     used either of them they came in a job lot I got some time ago.

ah,right cheers,never seen a continental spindle gouge that wide,ones I have are smaller.
