It looks dodgy to me

It could be genuine or it could be yet another scam so proceed with caution! A lot of the scams seem to include shipping by the customer's shipping agent, which always rings alarm bells with me. This one appears suspicious because most people will be enquiring about a specific item.

If you know what you're looking for, you can often use the email headers to identify where an email was sent from. In the past I have used that to confirm my suspicions.

Just as  a follow up on 'Denis Neagle'.
My wife, a basketmaker, got an email from 'Denis Neagle' enquiring about direct sales a day or so ago.
Looks like a scam so I googles and found this thread, also a few more recent comments on a facebook page suggesting it probably is a scam.
So if anyone else stumbles upon this thread be alert to enquiries like this, I'm pretty sure it's dodgy.

Yep....I got a similar email George...thanks for raising awareness of this....i suspected that it was dodgy, so was being cautious, but now I know that I can tell him where to go.

He made second-contact today with a sob story about his computer crashing, so he needed lots of info from me.....prehaps it's better that I don't go into any detail about my reply!
