Band saw blade
« on: April 14, 2013, 05:31:02 PM »
I am needing to buy a new blade for my band saw. Having recently read "The Band Saw Book" I am totaly confused as to which type I should buy, Stamped sring stell, Carbon steel, Wood slicer spring steel, Bimetal, Carbide, Stelite. I am cutting wood for woodturning as well as general d.i.y about the home.  Advice please.

Best advice on band saw blades I can give, or have recieved, is give Ian a ring a Tuffsaws http://www.tuffsaws.co.uk/   Tell him what you want to do and he will advise you on the best blade or blades to get.

I will only buy from him these days as they are excellent blades and advice.

I took this advise from a previous post. As stated he gave excellent service and was exceedingly helpful.

He did not know he had been discussed and recommended in this forum when I mentioned it. So if you do call him, mention the forum again, you never know, we might find another corporate member eventually.
