Ladies & Gentlemen
I have just discovered that Axminster have brought out a sharpening machine which they have named the Ultimate Edge.
It seems to have much in common with Robert Sorby's Pro edge
Do they use the same size belts?
Has anybody used both and is able to offer a comparative review?
With best wishes and thanks

Hi MCB
I think you'll find a simple internet search will show
> the Proedge belt size is 2' x 30.5' (50mm x 775mm)
> the Ultimate belt size is 50mm x 785mm.
with both also available from other belt manufacturers and agents.
I've the Proedge and am pleased with it but unable to comment on Ultimate.

The belts are the same size, i have been using the Axminster Green Ceramic belt on my ProEdge.
In fact i have a ProEdge/Ultimate Edge Hybrid having fitted the Axminster Compound Jig and a longer Platen to my ProEdge.
I can now use the Tormek Gouge Jig using there suggested settings and achieve the sharpest edge I have had in years
