Title: Chestnut vase/open turning
Post by: Derek on August 18, 2019, 07:15:20 PM
Just finished this Chestnut Burr today it stands 6 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" across. Finished with sander sealer and satin lacquer, I then gave it a wax with woodwax22 as the satin finish was not what I wanted but the high gloss would have been too glossy.
C & C Welcome.

Right up my street. Love working with this sort of wood, hand in hand with the wood. Love it.

Thank you Pete. I like turning things like this as it keeps you on your toes and certainly makes you think how to turn it safely

Derek,
a perfect example of 'If it's already got it', 'Don't over think it' and ' Don't overwork it'.
