Title: Myford ML8 wood lathe restoration
Post by: Bootman on July 28, 2019, 07:59:10 AM
Hi there, I'm new to the forum, do any of you know what the vertical thread is on the locking nut on both the tool rest assembly and tail stock? Both locking nuts sit inside the tubular bed and are operated with a small lever. When I figure out how to reduced the size of a photo I will attach.
 Thanks in advance Bootman

Hi there. The thread you refer to is known as a quick thread. Very steep pitch to provide maximum lift for minimum rotation. I doubt you will be able to replicate it.
