Title: Getting logged out.
Post by: bodrighywood on June 14, 2019, 08:37:29 AM
I have been repeatedly logged out of the forum lately. I am clicking the 'forever' option but still get logged out. Mild nuisance but curious as to why?

I had that problem in the early days of using the forum.
A 'cookie' remembers you preference, so the first question is have you done anything to them. Deleted them, set them to automatically delete when you close your computer, added a new program (cleaner can cause it) that removes them.
Anything like that?

No, nothing that I have deleted or added. I did a cleanup about 6 mopnths ago with no problems, this has only been happenning in the last week or two.

But your browser may have disabled cookies.  You can normally set this on each site (for example in Chrome).  I would suggest trying with another browser - you will of course have to log in again but the default browser setting will store the access codes.

Yes, probably something to do with your web browser and cookie settings.

The other thing to remember Pete is when you have finished on the website if you just keep clicking back to get back to your web browser sometimes you will be signed out. Once I have finished on a website I click on the little house icon on the top left of my screen, that takes me back to my browser without signing me out.
