Title: Air filtration
Post by: Alan Fordham on September 21, 2016, 12:19:50 PM
I have a dust extraction set up but would now like to install an air filtration unit. Is anyone able to reccomend a suitable unit. My workshop is 45 cubic metres.

I don't have sufficient experience of a range of makes to comment objectively. However, I seem to recall that a few years ago, a member of this forum posted an item in which he had built his own.

Alan,

the only suggestion I have is to look at the specs of the Air Filtration Units Axminster have, towards the bottom of the list is Room volume, see what one works best fro your workshop size.

That may have been me, it was a few years back I put it on a now redundant blog but it's still there if it's of any interest to the OP

I have the smaller Jet system and had it for a few years now. Works well with no problems. Makes you realise how much dust is in the air when you look at the filters. Makes you realise you need direct personal protection particularly when sanding. Malcolm.
